Discover the Big Five in Tanzania best parks with game drives in Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. In Serengeti you will spend almost two days on the endless plains of the Serengeti. You overnight will be in a campsite in the middle of the park, in Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. It’s quite an adventure!
Pick you up from Arusha /Kilimanjaro Airport or your hotel in (or around) Arusha and enjoy the beautiful nature and landscapes on your drive to Tarangire. Proceed with game drive on arrival, lunch then more game in the afternoon. Tarangire National Park is located 115km south of Arusha, and is a long and narrow park that covers 2850sq km, and runs along the Tarangire River. The name of the park is also coming from the Tarangire River, which is the only source of water for wild animals during the dry season. The park is famous for its large number of elephants, baobab trees and tree climbing African pythons. Dinner and Overnight at camp/lodge.
After breakfast, exit the park for Lake Manyara where we will do a game drive all day. Lake Manyara is known for its breathtaking panoramic views, waterfalls, babbling brooks with clear water and hot springs. Lake Manyara National Park is located between the rocks of the Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara. The beauty of this park is partly due to a large variety of wildlife, grasslands, forests and water. Lake Manyara has one of the largest populations of water birds, over 400 species, including flamingos and pelicans. There are also large herds of elephants, giraffes, hippos, water buffalos and of course the impalas. Dinner and Overnight at Camp/Lodge
After breakfast head for a drive towards the Serengeti arriving at the park in good time for lunch, check in at your lodge, relaxation then later on head out for an afternoon game drivewithin the park. The Serengeti is known for its endless plains of savannah and forest landscapes. The park is famous for the migration involving about 1.5 million herbivores and followers, thousands of predators are moving because of the drought in the northern hills to the southern plains. After the rains in mid-April, they go back via a detour through the western part. Dinner and Overnight at Camp/Lodge.
After breakfast proceed drive to Ngorongoro Conservancy. Arriving at the park in good time for lunch with game enroute to your Lodge for check in & relaxation. In the afternoon head for a half day crater tour. About the Crater: The Ngorongoro Conservation Area as a whole has much to offer, but the jewel in its crown is, without a doubt, the eponymous crater - an area of 265 sq km, which is 610 meters deep and 19 km across. The rim of the crater is an astounding 2286 meters above sea level. The floor contains a small soda lake called Lake Magadi, and it is estimated that 30000 animals live in the crater, making it the most intensive safari game viewing area on earth. It was therefore very fittingly declared a World Heritage Site in 1978. A visit to Tanzania is incomplete without a safari visit to the park. Head back to the lodge for dinner & overnight.
Depending on your flight schedules, We will start the day very early and descend into the crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife viewing in one of the most stunning places on earth. After the game drive, there will be time for a picnic lunch near the beautiful hippo lake then ascend the crater and exit Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Arusha. Drop off at the airport for your homebound flight
