Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Park

Pick Up at the Airport/hotel and proceed for a 5 hours drive south west part of Kenya to maasai mara National Park. Get the chance to soak in the beautiful views as we descend to the great escarpment with a possible stop over. Arrive at the park in good time for lunch and proceed with check in, lunch and relaxation. At 4 Oclock head out for a two hours evening game drive at the park in search Masai Giraffe, Lions,Cheetah, Leopard, elephants and other more wildlife and birds species. Head back to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight. Mealplan: Lunch & Dinner

Day 2 & 3: Masai Mara National Reserve

Experience full dayu game drives on these two days. Masai Mara is known for the spectacular great migration that takes place in July through to October. During this period you get to enjoy the wildebeest crossing as they are being hunted by the crocodiles while land predators await them in the mainland. You can spot all of the big five (Lion, leopard, rhino, elephant & cape buffalo at any time of the year.

Day 4: Masai Mara to Kampala

After breakfast, drop off at masai mara airstrip for your flight to Entebbe through Kisumu International Airport. Arrive at Entebbe Int'l Airport where you will be met by our company representative and transfer you to your Kampala hotel for your overnight stay. Depending on arrival time, an optional city tour can be arranged.

Day 5: Kampala to Kibale National Park

Pick up from your hotel and drive west to Fort Portal through verdant countryside passing through traditional homesteads and farms. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon. The drive approximately takes 5 -6hours. Arrive at the lodge in time for a late lunch. Relax at the lodge or take an unguided walk around the lodge to enjoy the beauty of the scenery.

Day 6: Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast at your lodge, transfer to the starting point of your Chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale Forest National Park which is reputed to have the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The most famous of its 13 species is the Chimpanzee, man’s closest relative. Kibale’s 1450 Chimpanzee represent Uganda’s largest population of this endangered primate. Kibale is also a home to the rare I’Hoest’s monkey. Other primates include the black and white Colobus, Blue monkey, Grey cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey, Olive baboon to mention but a few. So you will enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many others. Although chimp sightings are not guaranteed, visitors stand a good chance of hearing and seeing our distant cousins as they gloom and bond with one another. After lunch, head to Bigodi for an afternoon swamp walk. Bigodi was established by a local development organization to protect the 4sq-km Magombe Swamp that's home to around 200 species of birds (highlights include papyrus gonolek, White-winged warbler and great blue turaco). The highlight of this tour is catching a glimpse of the great blue turaco. The swamp is also good for spotting butterflies and primates, with eight different species here, including grey-cheeked mangabey. Experienced local guides who interact with the guests and make the trip both enjoyable and exciting lead the 2-3 hour guided walk.

Day 7: Kibale Forest National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast pack your bags and you will have a morning game drive as you travel to Bwindi.The drive takes you through the Switzerland of Africa area known as the Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads. Check into the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. Bwindi forest is Located in southwestern Uganda, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is said to be Africa’s oldest rainforest. It is world-renowned for its excellent gorilla-sighting opportunities. The rugged landscape features dense jungle, cascading waterfalls, sparkling mountain streams, deep valleys and steep ridges. This untouched forest has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its breathtaking natural beauty and unique ecological significance. Aside from the amazing gorilla interactions, there are other drawcards such as a network of forest walks, over 340 species of bird to spot and a variety of butterflies. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the spectacular Virunga Volcanoes.

Day 8: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After an early breakfast depart to the starting point for briefing about your gorilla trekking adventure, after which you will be led by experienced gorilla trackers on the slopes of the volcanoes. You will start from the site where the gorillas were encountered the day before and from here the gorilla tracking begins. Although the hike can be physically demanding, the anticipation of the exciting experience ahead is amazing, and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants are fascinating. One of Africa’s major highlights is when you encounter these amazing apes. It is a humbling experience to stand just meters from man’s distant cousins as they eat rest, play and bond with their young ones.

Follow the mountain gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest, and discover their gorgeous natural habitual and the many species they share it with. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas before finally sloping down back to your lodge. If your trek was relatively short, you may opt for optional activities.

Don’t forget to carry your rain gear, packed lunch, plenty of water, gloves, hat, and water proof bag for protection of your camera in case of rain

Day 9 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to Arusha

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport to catch your flight to your next destination. You will catch your flight to Kilimanjaro.

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by our guide who will transfer you by road to Arusha. This attractive little town is situated beneath the towering peaks of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro. Arusha, renowned as the safari capital of Tanzania, offers a range of attractions and adventures.

Day 10: Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater

Today ,you will proceed to Ngorongoro crater were you will descend 2,000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day crater tour with picnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact caldera (collapsed volcano) and is home to more than 30,000 animals, making it the most densely packed concentration of wildlife in Africa. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see flamingos, and the open savannah, where the lions hunt for food. If you are really lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the elusive black rhino! Late afternoon, proceed to your lodge which is located on the crater rim.

Day 11: Ngorongoro to Seronera

After breakfast, you will proceed to The Central Serengeti with picnic lunch on hand to maximize your game viewing; Experience game drives in the world’s most famous wildlife preserve. Late afternoon/early evening, proceed to your lodge for relaxation and dinner. The evening is yours to enjoy.

Day 12: Seronera

Delight yourself with a full day of game viewing in the Central Serengeti. Millions of animals and birds thrive in the park’s vast savannah and hilly woodlands. You will see plentiful species of plains game, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalos, elephants, hippos, giraffes, and numerous fascinating lesser-known animals. While the Serengeti may be best known for its great annual migration, the resident populations of animals are excellent all year-round. Late afternoon/early evening, return to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 13: Seronera to Zanzibar

After breakfast, you will proceed to Seronera airstrip with game drives en-route in time for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your overnight accommodation.

Day 14 & 15: Kiwengwa

Beach Holiday! Optional Island excursions: Stone Town Visit, dhow trip to an island for scuba diving, Dolphin tour, Jozani Forestry National Park

Day 16: Departure

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Zanzibar International Airport in time for your flight back home.
